Any employer sponsoring a health insurance program for employees knows that our healthcare system is not working. Double-digit increases are the norm, and while employers and employees pay more for coverage, they are getting less with higher co-pays and deductibles and decreasing coverage. Meanwhile, nearly 20 percent of our Wyoming neighbors have no health insurance coverage at all.

This has to change for the health of our economy and our people. We must move forward with systemic improvements such as developing a health insurance exchange and funding preventative care programs. Affordable healthcare that promotes prevention must be available to all of our citizens.
